BCVCA initiated the design and donated $900.00 for the procurement of a bronze plaque honouring the centennial recognition of Company Sergeant Major Robert Hill Hanna, VC who earned the VC during the Battle of Hill 70, France on 21 August 1917. The plaque, situated at the City of Abbotsford’s Cenotaph was dedicated on 21 August 2017.
